so here are some pictures that we took over our spring break tour with chorale in florida and the bahamas. and for those of you who don't know yet, i suppose these pictures will make it obvious, but through miraculous works of God, He has put us back together and has blessed our relationship more than we could ever imagine.

so i found this great new tv show called firefly. basically the premise is that the world has been taken over by the chinese and now the universal language is chinese. people speak chinese, interject chinese phrases (which sometimes happen to be swearing that i learned in chinese school in 1st grade), read the chinese newspaper, are obsessed with and live in chinese cultural houses (of course, the actors all being foreigners, have decently bad pronounciation which makes it a bit humorous to listen to them supposedly being all chinese fluent, but really sucking pretty bad). it's in the space age where space ships are the choice of transportation between planets and the world is pretty much a rogue, fend-for-yourself place. there's this one particular pirate space ship thing whose captain and crew are the main characters, and basically you follow them through their various thievery/smuggling jobs. and they picked up two very interesting passengers: a brother and a sister, where the sister is so smart that the government decided that they needed her and decided to experiment on her brain. kinda freaky. anyhow, brother comes to her rescue and they hook up with this pirate ship serenity and its crew. if anyone has ever seen the movie "serenity", the movie is based on this tv show and has all the same characters and stuff. pretty much really sweet.

so, I got my grades back and praise the Lord, I have a 3.64 GPA. I got a couple of B's and such, but not as many as I thought I would, so thank Him. next semester I plan to get all A's, or so help me. anyhow, I'm in kashgar now and seeing mommy and daddy, and yesterday we saw carolyn and james, so here's a couple of recent pics from that.

well hello people. i am doing well, tomorrow we go on thanksgiving break. amen for that! i am so tired of school right now, and ready to have a different schedule. i'm gonna have a really weird schedule next semester actually. five classes on monday, wednesday and friday, and only one 9 o'clock on tuesday and thursday. but at least i'll have nice breaks in between my crazy days. these are my classes that i'm taking...

vocal diction I
intro to music II
concert chorale
modern middle east
world literature
bib lit I
piano lessons
voice lessons
and probably 4th semester chinese

so yeah, i'll be busy with this and 10 hours of work and homework, but it'll be good i think. i don't have any 8 o'clocks and only two 9 o'clocks, so i'll be getting more sleep, which i'm thinking i really need. i'm also really trying to grow out my blonde hair. i miss my blonde and i'm tired of dyeing not working and having a line when it's growing out. oh well, i'll just have to deal.

if you want to pray for one thing though, pray for my fit for life class this semester. it's just retarded and it's the only class i'm getting bad grades on, but the stupid thing is that it's just a dumb gen ed. that's supposed to be easy, and it's the only freaking class that's making me look bad!! and the reason isn't because i'm blowing it off, it's because the prof is just a terrible teacher. he doesn't lecture on things that are going to be useful, his tests are full of trivia and statistics some of which he never covered in class, and he fails to mention important things like what page he's talking about and occasionally even what chapter he's lecturing on. okay... i'm going to be done ranting even though i could keep going. it's just so frustrating because if i get a bad grade in this one class and it by some chance makes my GPA go down enough, i could lose my scholarships, which would pretty much be a disaster. and all because of a stupid gen ed. fit for life class. the only consolation i have is that ian did bad on most things in the same class with the same prof last year and he still got an A or a B+, as well as it's only a one credit class that i don't think affects my GPA a ton a ton. so anyways, i'm just mad at it all.

okay, i'm done. now i'm gonna go.

hello ya'll. it's been a while, and now it's fall break. yay for me and ian because we're going to visit cindy in purdue and mindy is coming here to visit us before that. =) and i'm getting my nose pierced. but if you wanted to i'd love some prayer because i'm a little emotionally stressed/concerned at the moment... but yeah, God is good, all the time. all the time, God is good. i'm so tired right now, i need sleep and i have an eight o'clock tomorrow morning. but maybe i can sleep in over fall break.. i doubt it. sad... sigh. =(

i'm really excited though about christmas break. i get to see beijing, karissa in urumqi, mommy and daddy, sara, kashgar, carolyn, and i get to buy yummy chinese food to bring back to taylor and awesome chinese stuff that i miss... yay for china. goodnight.
